Hello, I am Angus Macdonald Hulbert.  I am a landscape photographer.  I am based in the Highlands of Scotland and I am a student studying Marine and Coastal Tourism.  This combination has allowed me to continue my passion for photography as well as get a degree that I thoroughly enjoy.  I have been doing photography now since I was 14 and in that time I have had some amazing experiences. In my last year of school I received a bursary from a local community fund to have a five day photography tip to the Orkney Islands (check out the Northern Peripheries collection); just when I was leaving school I became a member of the Fortingall Art, this is a local annual art exhibition (my very first exhibition). I now have some photographs exhibited in a guest house in Northern Norway.

I love learning about nature and finding folklore and stories that accommodate the flora, I am also very keen in learning and understanding the geography that formed the landscape I photograph. I have taken my love for nature to capture what I see through my camera lens, so others can enjoy the beautiful landscapes that I come across.  I am a landscape photographer but if there is an opportunity to shoot wildlife or products I will jump to it, I will take on any photography challenge. I enjoy taking long exposures capturing the movements and colours of nature, but I also enjoy capturing a split second in time.

My first official camera was a small pocket digital Kodak camera, I then upgraded to a Cannon EOS 1100D, now I am shooting with a Cannon EOS R mirrorless. I use Lee ND filters and Hoya Polarising filters to aid me out on my adventures. Back at home I use Adobe Lightroom to bring out the best in my shots.

Make sure to have a read of some of the stories behind my photographs, maybe they will inspire you to get out with your camera!

Have a look through my collections if you would like to buy a photograph using the link on each image. Alternatively if you would like to have a special print made up of any of my photographs get in touch and I can make a quote for you.
